Cloud Infrastructure & Blockchain Security
Location: Hyderabad, India
Experience: 5–10+ Years
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Information Security Engineer who combines deep expertise in cloud infrastructure security with emerging capabilities in blockchain and smart contract security. This role blends networking engineering, cloud architecture, security operations, and hands-on automation to support large-scale cloud migrations and a growing decentralized application portfolio. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments, communicates complex technical concepts with clarity, and takes full ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Network Security
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud networking solutions including VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, and hybrid connectivity across AWS and GCP.
- Deploy and manage AWS load balancing solutions (ALB, ELB, Gateway Load Balancer) and implement CloudWatch monitoring, alerting, and observability dashboards.
- Drive initiatives to secure, scale, and build resilient cloud infrastructure; architect and migrate workloads while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Configure and manage firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), NAT, VPN (L2L, RA, SSL) policies, and Citrix Netscaler environments.
- Manage Cisco routing and switching (L2/L3), SSH port forwarding, and SNMP-based monitoring systems (Nagios, Grafana).
- Conduct low-level packet and application protocol analysis; troubleshoot network and security systems with minimal guidance.
Blockchain & Smart Contract Security
- Conduct smart contract auditing using tools such as Slither, Mythril, Certora, and Echidna (fuzzing).
- Identify and mitigate blockchain-specific vulnerabilities including reentrancy attacks, flash loan exploits, and integer overflows.
- Apply advanced cryptography principles including asymmetric encryption, data key management, and quantum-resistant security strategies.
- Perform threat modeling and protocol hardening for decentralized applications and blockchain infrastructure.
- Review Solidity and Rust code for security weaknesses during development and pre-deployment phases.
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Monitor organization networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions; lead incident response to minimize impact.
- Conduct technical and forensic investigations following breaches; prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Develop and enforce security standards, best practices, and recovery strategies across the organization.
- Install and maintain security software including firewalls, data encryption programs, and privilege access management (PAM) solutions.
- Perform periodic vulnerability scans, penetration testing follow-ups, and drive remediation of identified issues.
Automation, DevSecOps & Compliance
- Build automation and tooling using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to streamline deployments and day-to-day operations.
- Manage infrastructure workflows using GitHub, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes.
- Implement DevSecOps practices with integrated intrusion/malware detection in CI/CD pipelines using AI-driven threat detection.
- Work with internal and external IT auditors to provide evidence and documentation for SOX, PCI, and Cybersecurity audits.
- Manage monitoring systems for network and security infrastructure; develop alerting, escalation policies, and health reports.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Provide technical support for network, security, and monitoring systems; assist other infrastructure engineers as needed.
- Collaborate strongly with infrastructure teams, application development groups, and business unit representatives on new implementations.
- Analyze requirements, provide design and implementation recommendations aligned with company standards, and produce thorough documentation.
- Open and manage support cases with hardware/software vendors and telecom providers through complete resolution.
- Provide after-hours and on-call support per schedule; coordinate with end users as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 5–10+ years of overall IT network and security engineering experience; minimum 3+ years in blockchain security or smart contract auditing.
- 5+ years of firewall configuration including Palo Alto and Cisco ASA (policy, NAT, VPN).
- 5+ years of Cisco routing and switching with strong L2 & L3 understanding.
- 3+ years of Citrix NetScaler experience.
Technical Skills
- Cloud platforms: AWS (VPC, ALB, ELB, CloudWatch, Gateway Load Balancer) and GCP.
- Blockchain security: Smart contract auditing (Slither, Mythril, Certora, Echidna); Solidity/Rust code review.
- Security technologies: Firewalls, load balancing, proxies, PAM, authentication methods, encryption, and cryptography.
- Automation: Python, Ansible, Terraform; familiarity with Perl, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
- Monitoring: SNMP-based systems, Nagios, Grafana; CloudWatch observability dashboards.
- OS & tooling: Linux/RHEL command-line proficiency; SSH port forwarding; GitHub/CI-CD pipelines.
- Containerless and modern application delivery architectures.
- Arista network design, configuration, and troubleshooting is a definite plus.
Soft Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts in non-technical terms.
- Highly organized, flexible, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and take full ownership of assigned tasks.
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills; able to provide network diagrams and written documentation samples.
